There is a Latin adage that is translated "To act follows to be" or "Action follows being." Good deeds flow from the good nature of the doer. Jesus, in today's gospel, says " A good tree bears good fruit." We are created good by God unto his own image. It is expected that good words and deeds will come from us. We are good trees bearing equally good fruits. |
