One reassuring experience is when you are at your lowest point, there is somebody to lift you up. The gospel says many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them about the death of their brother, Lazarus. What a consoling moment. We should always be ready to offer a shoulder and share our encouraging presence when people are weighed down by their sorrow. |
