A lover spoke, "Why you are here matters little. That you are here matters most." Of course, the presence is important but motivation gives meaning. Those who looked for Jesus were obviously driven by their desire for food as Jesus already multiplied the loaves. The Lord wanted a better reason. Which invites us to examine our motive for prayer. Do we simply ask for something material or do we wish to deepen our relationship with Him? |
