Humility defies entitlement. Today's gospel shows how Jesus humbly submitted himself to the paying of taxes in which he was not obliged. He teaches us not to feel special and entitled to some privileges. Holiness is practised when, despite opportunities, we renounce legitimate rights for the sake of oneness and solidarity with the rest. |
