Be attentive to the things that are above. Today's Liturgy directs the faithful to focus on heaven where Mary was assumed body and soul. How do we reach heaven where the Blessed Mother has gone ahead of us? The gospel teaches us two ways. Imitate Mary by a life of charity and gratitude. She visited Elizabeth to assist her in her need. She magnified God in thanksgiving. Let us be charitable. Let us be grateful. These will lead us to heaven. |
