We celebrate the Nativity of Mary but the gospel speaks of the birth of Christ. This is to show us that a Marian event is always Christological. Mary's birth was in view of her Divine Maternity as she would later conceive and bear a son called Emmanuel. Any Marian devotion should lead us to Christ. AD JESUM PER MARIAM |
