Do not look for a crossless Christ so that you may not find a Christless cross. Like the disciples in today's gospel, we are also asked "Who is Christ for you?" The same gospel introduces Christ who would suffer and die on the cross. Anyone who follows him has to take up his own cross. We cannot separate this cross from the Lord. Never a crossless Christ. |
