Simple, dependent and trusting -- These characterize a child. Jesus, in today's gospel, invites us to remain childlike along our way to adulthood. Let simplicity banish our ambitious desire for greatness. Let our weakness stir up our utter dependence on God. Let our trusting faith strengthen our hope in Him. Innocent children we must be. |
