When we say those who refuse to wear facemasks scandalize us, we mean they "offend us with their improper conduct." That is not the biblical meaning of "skandalon." It means to "lay a snare in someone's path that causes him to stumble." It is to give someone an occasion to sin. Instead of causing others to sin, let us lead them to goodness and strengthen their faith. |
