The Archangel "Michael" means "Who is like God?" How can we be like God? Today's gospel provides an answer. Jesus praised Nathanael because there is no duplicity in him. An exterior life in conformity with the good interior disposition makes us pleasing before God. A sincere life devoid of hypocrisy makes us imitate God who has no guile. There is no duplicity in God, only goodness, always goodness. |
