19 October: Vigilance and readiness. These two words encapsulate the message of today's gospel. The servants are enjoined to be watchful on their master's arrival. Christ is coming at a time we least expect. We should not be caught off guard. A life of holiness and righteousness makes us constantly ready to welcome him. -- Msgr. Andro |
