We can draw two points from today's gospel:
1. Jesus did not wish to travel to Judea because the Jews were trying to kill him. Certainly, we can avoid the deadly virus if we do not expose ourselves to situations that can imperil our lives;
2. The hour of Jesus had not yet come. We call it "kairos" or divinely appointed time. Why do we rush and wish a fast-tracking in the cure of this virus? We insist on our purely human "chronos." Let's wait for God's own timing. |
