Many times we ask not in the positive tone but in the negative. In today's gospel, someone asked, "Will only a few people be saved?" That person could have asked, "Will many people be saved?" If we ask this question to Jesus and do good so as to enter through the narrow gate, perhaps the Lord will say, "Many will be saved and you are one of them." |
