I dare call this gospel narrative the story of a rich widow. Yes, she was wealthy. She had the cordial affluence or richness of the heart. She was materially poor as she had only two coppercoins or "lepta" but spiritually rich in her willingness to give all that she had. True indeed, we don't have to be materially rich in order to give. We have only to be generous. Such cordial generosity! |
