St. Paul has a beautiful reminder, "The night is far spent. The day draws near. Let us cast off deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us live honorably as in the daylight, not in carousing and drunkenness" (Rom. 13:11-13). This is the best spiritual disposition as we vigilantly await the coming of the Lord. We will not be caught off guard. |
