Mary was graced [in Greek "kecharitomene"-- Lk. 1:28]. She was transformed by that grace so much so that sin did not enter in her [in Greek "echaritosen"-- Eph. 1:6-7]. This is the singular privilege of Mary. We are not immaculately conceived but we can make our souls remain in the grace of God-- pure, clean and untarnished by sin. |
