Authority comes from God. It seems that the chief priests and the elders forgot that. They got the nerve to ask Jesus, "By what authority are you doing these things. And who gave you this authority?" We cannot question God from whom all authority emanates. Those in authority should always remember that they are only sharers of this authority that belongs properly to God. |
