A stable "Yes." An unwavering response. That's what we need to please Jesus who calls. The chief priests and the elders represent the son who responded Yes but did not go to the vineyard. Which reflects our own unstable decision to follow the Lord. Our Yes at baptism should be unchanging. It must be firm. It must be faithful. |
