Both the English "ponder" and the Filipino "bulay-bulay" fall short of the meaning of the original Greek "symballein" which is "to put things together." Mary gathered in memory all the events pertinent to the birth and infancy of Jesus. She remembered and gave thanks. Today, the Holy Mother of God invites us to recollect the past and remember with a grateful heart. |
