When life is tough and the "wind is against us," the presence of Jesus calms our fears. The incident in today's gospel is a reflection of our stormy lives. "It is I. Do not be afraid." These were the consoling words of Jesus. When we are terrified because we are tossed while rowing, let us take courage and comfort in the reassuring presence and protection of our Lord. |
