Bring glad tidings to the poor. This is one of the agenda of Jesus embodied in the prophecy of Isaiah. Indeed, he himself was the good news. He gave hope to the captives, the blind, the oppressed but most especially the poor. Albeit in a lesser degree, we can share in the mission of Jesus spelled out in his "inaugural speech." Let our lives be a good news to others including the impoverished. Let our lives be a proclamation of the goodness of God. |
