Which comes first: believing or getting converted? In the normal course, faith comes before conversion. That was the experience of St. Paul. He first believed in Jesus of Nazareth [whom he persecuted] before he went through conversion. Faith is underlined in today's gospel. Whoever believes will be saved. Let us first accept Jesus. Living in his grace follows. |
