As we celebrate Bible Sunday, let us ask ourselves, "How is the Scripture fulfilled?" In today's gospel, Jesus says, "Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing." Earlier,he quoted the Prophet Isaiah and spoke about total liberation. He himself did it. We are also tasked to proclaim and live the Good News -- to be herald and message at the same time. When we do that, the Scripture is fulfilled in our midst. |
