During renewal of baptismal promises, we confidently declare that we reject Satan and his empty promises. But times there are when we side with him. In today's gospel, Jesus calls Simon Satan because he is thinking not as God does. When our behavior is contrary to God, when our thoughts are not of God, we can also be branded Satan. |
