St. John Paul II calls God "rich in mercy" (Dives in Misericordia). This is very poignant in the story of the vocation of Levi a.k.a. Matthew. Jesus himself declares that he came to call not the righteous but sinners. We are all weak human beings, prone to sins and transgressions but we never surrender because of the richness of God's merciful love. |
