Patient waiting. This is lacking in many people including myself. Today's gospel invites us to wait with patience. The gardener pleaded in behalf of the fig tree [the former represents Jesus while the latter the people Israel]. There is a need to wait for one more year. The tree is given one more chance to bear fruits. That is how God deals with us, sinners. Shouldn't we deal that same way with our erring brothers and sisters? |
