The late Jose T. Cardinal Sanchez chose Ps. 143:10 for his episcopal motto, "Teach me to do your will." It must have been difficult for him to do God's will especially when as a Bicolano, he was assigned in the Ilocandia. Truly, God's will must prevail. For us who find it hard to submit our own will to God's, we learn from Jesus who, in today's gospel, said, "I do not seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me." |
