We desire human adulation and words of approval. We are dying to hear affirming utterance. The opposite is true if we analyze Jesus' attitude. In today's gospel, he openly says, "I do not accept human praise." Suffice it to him to do the Father's will. Which do we prefer-- human honor or Divine affirmation? |
