We should shudder in embarrassment when people call us "liars." That was how Jesus branded the Jews in today's gospel. The Lord himself knew he would be called a liar if he said he didn't know the Father. Liars have no place in God's kingdom. When we deliberately tell a lie, we become a mockery of Truth who is Jesus himself. |
