When we suffer, we focus on our own situation of misery. Chances are-- we become unmindful of others. The opposite is true with Jesus. The gospel of Luke poignantly shows how the suffering Jesus looked after the needs of others. His concern for others was evident. Holy Week invites us to be altruistic. Let's think of others rather than ourselves. |
