Actors wear masks. That's the etymology of the word "hypocrisy." In Greek, it means "an actor's mask." Judas Iscariot was an actor. He covered his selfishness and love of money with a seeming concern for the poor. A hypocrite par excellence. Holy week invites to be honestly transparent. Let's expose the person that we are. Albeit sinners, we are loved by God. |
