Philosophers call it "concurrence." Theologians view it as "providence." Simply put, it is the working of God. Today's gospel is an assurance that Jesus, after the ascension, is still at work in those whom he commissioned to continue what he has begun. We need not worry. Behind our human efforts is the abiding grace of God. |
