It was not a form of courtship. It was not a marriage proposal either. It was a mission that needed a profession of love. Peter denied Jesus three times. At the post-resurrection encounter, thrice he was asked if he loved the Lord and thrice he gave an affirmative response. Despite our infidelities, Jesus will send us to a mission. We must be ready to answer his question, "Do you love me?" |
