Lawyers say "dura lex, sed lex." That is very true. Any law is hard but it is a law. In today's gospel, the followers of Jesus found difficult his bread of life discourse. Yes, the saying is difficult but it is the Lord's saying that must be accepted. Christian discipleship is not a bed of roses. The demand is great but it is non-negotiable. You are a Christian. Take up your cross. |
