A good number of Filipinos felt betrayed. Jesus himself, in today's gospel, foretold his own experience of betrayal. "The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me." Consoling are the words that follow, "I am telling you... so that when it happens, you may believe that I AM." Jesus knew what would happen these days. He will take charge. A miracle will unfold. Let us believe in his powerful love. |
