Joy is ours unless we allow others to take it away from us. In today's gospel Jesus speaks of joy that follows grief. He adds, "No one will take your joy away from you." Why do we feel sad? Why are we overtaken by sorrow? It is because we permit others to ruin our lives. We allow them to control ourselves and so, they succeed in removing the happiness that is supposedly ours. |
