Many say "Hindi na uso ang martir." But Jesus' command is short of martyrdom. "... hand him your cloak as well." This outer garment serves as blanket at night which cannot be taken for debts, even legally (Ex. 22: 24-26). Well, this is martyrdom in the true sense of the word, i.e., witness. One who gives his cloak gives his all, thereby testifying that worry is out of place as God always provides. |
