My maternal grandfather had just one simple prayer: "Diyos ko, awa mo na po." I realized I have never missed that prayer but recite it every single night before going to bed. You don't need many words. That's Jesus' reminder for those who pray. The Lord's Prayer is simple and straightforward. Abp. Soc Villegas says "Awa ng Diyos." My Lolo Pinoy said and I say, "Awa mo na po." Truly, they are prayers of the heart. |
