That the door is narrow implies the entry with toil. You can enter it but always with difficulty. While the door that leads to the kingdom of heaven is open all the time, it nevertheless remains narrow. That is why we need to trim and prune our hearts which swell because of earthly attachments. In the end, we realize it is not the kingdom that has a narrow door but our hearts. |
