The celebration of John's nativity is being advanced today. After all, John was an advance party, a precursor to prepare the coming of the Lord. His name "John" means "God is gracious" or simply "God's gift." A gift to Zechariah and Elizabeth, John is a gift to the people. Let us be gifts to others. Let us advance the cause of their joy and well-being. |
