Why Jerusalem? Where is Jerusalem? This holy city is significant. It is part of Judea which lies in the South (Galilee is in the North). All the four gospels record that Jesus journeyed to Jerusalem. There he suffered and died. From there he rose again. The gospel will be preached starting in Jerusalem. It reminds us of our own journey from the cross to the crown. We live to die. We die to live. That is Jesus' journey. That is ours, too. |
