A fascinating creature. This description gleaned from the "Sound of Music" is very well attributed to St. Peter whom we honor today. He was a lowly fisherman turned into a big fisher of men. He was courageous, bordering on audacity. He enjoyed the honor of being "primus inter pares." He denied Jesus thrice and three times he professed his love for him. Wasn't he fascinating? Thanks, we had Peter. Thanks, we always have a pope, Peter's successor. |
