Communal faith saves. This is poignant in the story narrated in today's gospel. Jesus was impressed when he saw the people carrying the stretcher on which the paralytic laid sick. The Lord "saw their faith" and he cured the man. Which emphasizes the value of faith shared by the people. A believing community can inspire God to work miracles. Yes, that faith inspires. That kind of faith brings salvation. |
