It is nice to discover that the English words "cemetery" and "dormitory" are interconnected. Both come from the Greek word "koimeterion"which is akin to "koimaomai" meaning "to sleep." Those in the cemetery are in dormitory and are simply sleeping. "The girl is not dead but sleeping," says Jesus. There is nothing to worry about. With Jesus, our death is only a sleep. We shall awake with him. |
