The English version of today's gospel "Woe to you" is usually translated into Filipino as "Kawawa ka" but the exact meaning of the original Greek is "Sayang ka!" When Jesus reproached the three cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida and Capernaum, he regretted that the people there did not respond to his offer of love. They did not repent. Kapag di tayo nakatugon sa pag-ibig ng Diyos, SAYANG din tayo. |
