A sign is very important. It points to something other than itself. The scribes and Pharisees wanted some heavenly signs. To digress a little bit, let us be mindful that the world needs a sign that God is here. We are called to be that sign. Let our lives signify the love of the Lord. Let us be tangible reminders that there is heaven. Yes, we can become sacraments, a living sign of God's presence in the world. |
