"Look at her. She is rich but she's not happy." Always we say wealth does not guarantee happiness. Today's gospel shows the futility of material riches which cannot be brought to heaven. What do we desire? What do we try to achieve? Does it give us real joy? Does it promise eternal bliss? Wealth is good but is fleeting. Cordial affluence is the one that lasts eternally. |
