As the Lord has done, so, we must do. This formula has a wide application. Today's gospel is one concrete example. The servant forgiven by his master must equally forgive his fellow servant. What else? Those who were given must give. Those who were understood must understand. Those who received kindness must show kindness. Those who were "mercied" must be merciful. The Lord has set examples that we should emulate. |
