We are "consistently inconsistent." This is because we invariably appear clean on the outside but full of dirt internally. This is the Pharasical attitude being abhored by Jesus in today's gospel. People think we are Godly not knowing that we, too, occasionally side with the devil. Would that we were consistent in our internal disposition and external behavior |
