Yesterday's gospel was about the triumph of life over death. The same spirit permeates today's liturgy. The cross triumphed over sin and death. As the serpent of old became a source of healing, Jesus lifted on the cross bacame the spring of salvation. Jesus triumphed over the power of death. His resurrection was the final word. |
